Sometimes, even the best systems reach the end of the line. That was the case with a 16-year-old IVT ground source heat pump we were called to assess. After many years of service, the unit had developed both a compressor and electrical fault, and with spare parts no longer readily available, a replacement was the only sensible option. We introduced the customer to the Kensa EVO 13 kW ground source heat pump, a high-efficiency solution that delivered both performance gains and a straightforward installation pathway.
Smart Reuse, Minimal Disruption
To keep disruption low and costs under control, our engineers designed the replacement so that much of the existing pipework and hot water cylinder could be reused. This allowed the new Kensa EVO unit to slot neatly into the footprint of the old IVT, cutting down on installation time and avoiding unnecessary upheaval for the customer.
